In 2005 Beluga School for Life was founded in the south of Thailand. What started as an aid project for tsunami orphans and people in need has long grown into a small village community. At the moment about 150 children live in the project near Khao Lak, attend the kindergarten or school there and live in a structured family-like environment with 70 adults. The educational concept includes practically-relevant, transdisciplinary projects designed to prepare the children for their future in the best possible way.

The team of Beluga Schools for Life Charity Travel GmbH aims to provide travellers going to Thailand with eventful encounters far away from mass tourism. As tour operator, we attend to all tourism-related matters of the aid project. 100% of the proceeds generated by overnight stays, meals and on-site activities in the neighbouring guest area benefit the children and flow directly into the project. The ultimate objective is for the Beluga School for Life to evolve into a self-supporting organization on the basis of sustainable tourism.

By brokering journeys to the Beluga School for Life and waiving your commission, you become a friend of the Beluga School for Life. As a friend, you contribute to the preservation of the aid project and to providing 150 children with a new perspective.

Moreover, the guest area represents a training centre for the young adults of the project and the region. As a training institution for tourism we provide our students with the qualifications necessary to successfully find their place in the world of employment.
